Hey.Has anyone aside form me got an sailfin lizard?I bought mine from cartimar.Are these considered as endangered,threatened or rare?I have a reptile book and it says that they are not.

They're just protected. Overhunting kasi because of their meat. Ingat lang and don't put them in wire cages. Madaling masugatan ang nguso. I gave it a warm bath everyday when I kept it to help it shed it's skin. Info lang.
How much did you get for it and how big? Dun ba sa likod ng cartimar mo nabili?

Cartimar sailfin lizards

I bought another one today but from a different batch.The one I bought today is smaller than my first one but they seem to go along well at the moment.I bought a unhealthy one but it was the best I saw.The shop keepers don't take very good care of their sailfins.Most of them have nipped tails,swollen jaws due to rubbing against cage wiring and some have swollen legs.They put their lizards in very cramped environments.These are very badly treated lizards.I hope someone will buy some of them so that they won't be treated that bad anymore.They even thought more of their tokay and gave it more space.The main reason why the prices are very cheap is because it's egg laying season for the sailfins because it's the rainy season and these are aquatic lizards.Have you got a sailfin?

Binili ko ang aking sailfin lizard sa cartimar.Mura lang sila(P150 each) kaso marami sila na di malusog kaya kailangan mo 'to ipatingin sa vet.
